Ramez Karius

Ramez is a Control Engineer at Project MARCH, responsible for translating high-level software commands into real-world movements of the exoskeleton. Alongside his teammate, Matei, he works on creating control loops in the low-level software and building a control model of the exoskeleton to test parameters before assembly.

Ramez enjoys seeing the exoskeleton come to life and finds troubleshooting particularly rewarding. Solving unexpected issues feels like being a system “doctor,” requiring a deep understanding of the entire setup to identify and fix problems.

With a background in Clinical Technology, Ramez brings a unique blend of healthcare knowledge and a passion for systems and control to his role. He joined Project MARCH to take a gap year after his bachelor’s, eager to put his skills into practice while learning new technical and life skills in a collaborative, safe environment.

This year, Ramez aims to deepen his software engineering expertise and technical skills while contributing to the team’s mission of advancing exoskeleton technology.
