Mirte Otten
Mirte is a Design Engineer at Project MARCH, responsible for creating the exoskeleton’s covers, which define its look, feel, and first impression. She also designs the Input Device (IPD) that allows the pilot to intuitively and seamlessly control the exoskeleton, ensuring functionality, user-friendliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal come together in a cohesive design.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering and a Master’s degree in Integrated Product Design underway, Mirte is passionate about using design to make a positive impact. She sees Project MARCH as an opportunity to contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals with paraplegia through technological innovation.
Mirte is excited to expand her design skills, particularly in CAD and 3D printing, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Although she’s still exploring her future path, she is drawn to the medical innovation sector for its potential to help people directly.
Known for her creativity and analytical approach, Mirte enjoys working on projects that merge form and function.
