Milou Dijk
Milou is our Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) Engineer, focused on making the interaction between the pilot and the exoskeleton as natural as possible. She works on exploring control methods such as Brain-Computer Interfaces, collecting and analyzing EEG data to improve the exoskeleton’s functionality. As part of the Software Department and the InputDevice group, Milou enjoys the challenge of combining technical development with the human side of engineering.
What excites Milou the most about her role is the opportunity to apply her background in Applied Mathematics to see the real-world impact of her work, especially in a field that’s advancing rapidly. She is passionate about improving the lives of people with paraplegia , with a particular focus on the social aspects, such as enabling eye contact and increasing accessibility.
Milou’s mathematical background, communication skills, and enthusiasm make her well-suited for the role of HMI engineer. This year, she is excited to further develop her programming skills while working closely with a dedicated team of like-minded individuals.
She’s always up for new challenges and is eager to contribute to Project MARCH’s success.
