Karel Gimbergh
Karel is the Lead Software Engineer at Project MARCH, responsible for developing software and ensuring his department stays aligned with others by collaborating with fellow leads and the Chief Engineer. He’s passionate about programming, enjoying the challenge of solving complex problems. Though it can be frustrating at times, the satisfaction of seeing the code work makes it all worth it.
The Lead Software role perfectly combined his love for programming with the opportunity to contribute socially and take on some leadership responsibilities. He takes pride in listening to others’ opinions and facilitating collaboration within his department, ensuring everyone stays united as one team.
Karel’s personal goal is to improve his delegation skills and put trust in the work of his team members. He’s excited to work with such a talented group of people and believes they’ll accomplish great things together.
Along with a recent bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Karel has experience as a teaching assistant and has worked in various other educational roles, including tutoring, working with children with learning difficulties, and even teaching skiing..
Looking ahead, Karel envisions a career that balances a fulfilling technical job with part-time teaching, as he enjoys both intellectual challenges and helping others grow. Above all, he’s excited about all the fun moments we'll share within the team, along with the goal of delivering an incredible product together.
