Check out the different departments and their functions down below!
Management
The Team Manager leads the team, making sure everyone in the team can work comfortably, while picking up various management tasks themselves.
The Chief Engineer bears technological responsibility, and makes sure all the exoskeleton parts come together to form a complete whole.
The Project Manager plans out how the team gets from an idea to a finalized exoskeleton in the desired time.
The Operations Manager keeps themselves busy with the team’s finances, while also managing the Operations Department and Project MARCH’s long term vision.
The Partnerships Coordinator keeps partner contact, making sure all of them get good value out of the cooperation and negotiating the services we get in return.
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for all brand outings of Project MARCH. This includes maintaining a brand image, socials and being co-responsible for events.
The Public Relations Coordinator makes sure that as many people as possible will get to hear about Project MARCH. They contact media, organise internal and external events, and write press articles.
The UX/UI Designer helps out with many Marketing tasks, and bears responsibility for renders for, for example, the Design Presentation. They also work on the website and help maintaining socials.
Operations
Mechanical
The Lead Mechanical leads and keeps track of the entire Mechanical department, making sure everybody is on track and constantly looking ahead for possible problems to arise, whilst picking up various Mechanical Engineer tasks.
The Mechanical Engineers design and build the frame and joints, making sure the exoskeleton has the strength and power to make someone stand up and walk.
The Human Engineer makes sure the exoskeleton is medically justified, and is busy ensuring safety for the pilot, while forming a bridge between them and the team.
Software
The Lead Software leads and keeps track of the entire Software department, making sure everybody is on track and constantly looking ahead for possible problems to arise, whilst picking up various Software Engineer tasks.
The Software Engineers work on the software architecture, collecting sensor inputs and developing correct reactions.
As Lead Control, you will mainly participate as a Control Engineer in the Software department but you will also have some lead tasks. You will keep an overview of the Control deadlines, plan Control meetings and you are the main point of contact for the Management Team.
The Control Engineers convert the softwares desired output into voltages which can be sent to the exoskeleton motors, making sure they produce the desired torque.
The Human Machine Interaction Engineer bridges the gap between the human and the machine. They work on easy ways of input for the pilot, such as IPD development and progress on our mind-controlled EEG technology.
Electronics
As a Lead Embedded and Electrical, you are responsible for the technical quality delivered by the entire Embedded and Electrical Systems department. Next to your Lead responsibilities, you will participate as an engineer in the department as well.
The Embedded Systems Engineer make sure the electrical components can communicate throughout the exoskeleton, reading sensor data, guiding information and programming microcontrollers.
Other
The pilot is found through the Sint Maartenskliniek in Nijmegen. They operate the exoskeleton, and are involved throughout the entire design process.
